Anyone with any camera can be a photographer and anyone can be an Artist. In photography we promote the sense of "play" that people have as children and the human need to communicate ideas. We want you to be more able to present and communicate your thoughts, ideas, feelings and experiences. We want you to learn to manipulate the world including situations, people and light. To be adept at selecting equipment and tools to achieve the Photography and Art that you wish. Our course involves technical skills, ideas development, research and analysis and physical processes.
You can see on this page that photography may include portraiture, documentary and/or photo-journalism, landscape photography, working from objects, still life or the natural world and experimental imagery that may take any form, but has started with some kind of camera. It can be digital or analogue, web-based, prints, books.... The prime element is creativity.
